I had the pleasure of being the guest 'celebrity' at a salsa competition this weekend down in Evansville, IN. The folks at Suburban Landscape that hosted the event as part of their 'Chile Pepper Fiesta' put together a bunch of salsas of their own. A few of the more interesting ones appear below. I would consider it a great favor, if you find one you like, to let them know. Their address is suburban@evansville.net Send the notes 'attention Amanda'. Thanks in advance! Caribbean Salsa 1 ripe mango, peeled, sliced & chopped 1/2 tsp Allspice 1 Tbs honey 1 Tbs minced scotch bonnet 1/4 cup green onion She had several others as well but I thought these to be the best and most interesting. Don't think this starts a trend just because I posted two recipes in the same year! :-) -Jim C Mild to Wild From: "wildpepper.com" To: chile-heads@globalgarden.com Date: Sun, 13 May 2001 18:38:37 -0500
