Crystal, Louisiana's Pure Hot Sauce (6 fl. oz.)
Tasted several times (1997 - )
A mild vinegar based cayenne sauce. Too acid but with good cayenne flavour.
Rather useless, as the vinegar will destroy the food before you have added enough sauce to get any cayenne flavour.
Crystal, Louisianas Pure Hot Sauce, Extra Hot (3 fl. oz.)
Tasted several times (1997 - )
A medium hot vinegar based cayenne sauce.
Too acid but with good cayenne flavour and some heat.
You will need the whole bottle (3 oz) to give some heat to one serving of food.
That amount of sauce will however make the food taste more vinegar than cayenne.
Crystal, Pure Cayenne Pepper Seasoning (12 fl. oz.)
Tasted several times (1997 - )
A mild, vinegar based sauce with a pure cayenne taste.
I like the taste, but it is too mild if you want your food hot.
This sauce adds more cayenne flavour than heat to the food.
Crystal, Pure Hot Sauce (3 fl. oz.)
Tasted 1995
I don't remember the taste of this sauce.
Crystal Classic, Cayenne Garlic Sauce (5 fl. oz.)
Tasted several times (1998 - )
A less than medium hot sauce with a nice taste of cayenne and garlic, which as usual is drowned in too much vinegar.
One need more than half the bottle to get some heat in one serving of food, and that will at the same time make the food taste mostly vinegar.
Crystal Classic, Cayenne Sauce (5 fl. oz.)
Tasted several times (1998 - )
A medium hot sauce which tastes more from vinegar and salt, than from cayenne peppers.
If you want your food hot, you will need more than half the bottle on one serving, and that will make the food taste mostly vinegar and salt.
Crystal Classic, Habañero Sauce (5 fl. oz.)
Tasted several times (1998 - )
Habañero sauce???
A very mild, sweet vinegar based carrot juice, there the habañero flavour is almost totally masked by the other ingredients.
More taste of vinegar, carrots, lime and sugar, than of habañero.
I don't understand why they make a habañero sauce that don't taste of habañero and don't have any heat.
Crystal Classic, Mexican Salsa Picante (5 fl. oz.)
Tasted several times (1998 - )
A very salty medium hot sauce which is dominated by the taste of cumin.
This sauce is almost useless due to too much salt and too much cumin, which is masking the cayenne flavour.
Maybe possible to use if you are cooking rather mild,
but as soon as you add enough sauce to make the food hot,
the food will taste mostly of salt and cumin.
