Santa Maria - Chipotle Chili Paste (120 g)

imported from USA

Tasted 1997
A nice and well balanced, less than medium hot chipotle paste, with an almost fruity taste of chipotle, onions, tomatoes, garlic and a little vinegar.
Use it with any BBQ food, or to make your favorite steak sauce hotter.
Too small jar. One jar is not even enough to one serving of food if you like it really hot.

Santa Maria - Habañero Chili Sauce (150 g)

imported from USA

Tasted 1998
Medium hot peculiar taste, more like a hot vegetable juice than a habanero sauce.
The habañero fruit is drowning in carrots, mango, vinegar and orange juice, only the heat is left from the habanero.
Ingredients: water, carrots, mango, vinegar, habanero, orange juice........ (!)
Why dilute the habanero with all this???

Santa Maria - Red Fusion, Chipotle Paste (120 g)

imported from USA

Tasted 2007
A rather mild, but very tasty chipotle paste.
Nice chipotle flavour, accompanied by onion, tomatoes, garlic and a little vinegar.
Goes well with most types of bbq food.
2 - 3 jars = one serving.

Santa Maria - Sambal Oelek (100 g)

imported from Holland

Tasted 1999
Less than medium hot, with too much salt (13.1 %).
I don't understand why they must have so much salt in it.
The salt make it useless if you want to cook any hot food, as the salt will destroy the
taste of the food even before you have added enough sambal oelek to get your food hot.

Santa Maria - Sweet Hot Chili Sauce (250 ml)

imported from Holland

Tasted 1999
This is NOT a chili sauce!
This is a syrup with a few chile pepper flakes in it. No heat, only sweet!
It was not possible to use with any food, so I gav it up and poured it out.
Ingredients: Sugar, water, chili, garlic........ (!)
more sugar than water and more water than chile pepper!
TERRIBLE!!!
