Basic Chili Ingredients: 2 lb. chili style ground beef 2 or more mild fresh peppers (bell, wax, Anaheim) 4 fresh jalapeno peppers (seeded if you like it milder) 2 cups chopped onions 1 or 2 cans diced tomatoes (Rotel is nice) chili powder to taste 3 or more cloves garlic minced 1 can beer (water if you must) The chili powder might be grocery store, homemade or mail order, but the better the chili powder, the better the chili. Brown the meat over high heat. Add the chopped onions and garlic. When onions are clear, add tomatoes and spices. Add the beer ( or water), and simmer until meat is tender. Serve with raw onion, sour cream, and hot chili powder.
