First you go out into the garden and pick an unripe papaya...


...that one shred...


...and mix with the other ingredients by gentle pounding and mixing in the mortar.

Nao is deepfrying the fish we shall eat.


Som Tam, fried fish, Nam Prik, rice and many side dishes are served...


...and now it is just to enjoy the food.

The dishwashing is as usual done in the "utility room" outdoors under a roof.
