First, my mother-in-law went to Daoruns undeveloped land...


...where it grows thick bamboo...


...then it's just to pick out some nice green bamboo of the right
thickness and cut them into pieces.


One end should be cut just below the partition wall, to get a bottom.


Dollapon and Waritsara put the cooked black rice in the bamboo.


You have to fill the bamboo well...


...and pack the rice.


When they stick the bottom of the bamboo down in the sand...


...and make fires on both sides to bake them.


When you're hungry, just peel of the bamboo and eat.
Kao Lam has good durability and is excellent to bring when travelling.
